Spanish-born chef Alvaro Ramos heads up the Komune kitchen. Hailing from Madrid, Alvaro started out by working his way up the Michelin-ladder, through a number of starred restaurants in his home country. Crossing oceans to Asia, he then fell under the tutelage of fellow Spaniard chef Willy Trullas Moreno in Shanghai, before striking out on his own with his move to Hong Kong. An avid traveller, he’s literally bringing his adventures to the table, with a menu inspired by his jaunting ways.

Maxi Elias

F&B Manager

Maxi Elias leads the Komune operations team. A lifelong career in the hospitality trade saw Maxi kick things off at the tender age of 18 in Argentina. He slowly worked his way up, from bellboy to in-room attendant, head bartender to restaurant manager, before being offered the once-in-a-lifetime chance to open a restaurant in Hong Kong. Maxi was crucial in cementing Braza as the city’s preeminent Brazilian steakhouse, and comes to Komune with a wealth of experience under his belt.

Arun R

Experience Curator

Arun R is in charge of the music at Komune. Born and bred in Hong Kong, he’s is one of the city’s most well-known DJs, a famed name who’s played under the banners of Ministry of Sound and Renaissance Tours, while rubbing on-stage shoulders alongside Paul van Dyk, Tiesto and James Lavelle, among others. Formerly Music Curator at W Hong Kong, Arun brings his vast knowledge to Komune, through classic and contemporary tunes that always fit the occasion.
